today announces the release of VIDEOzilla 2.0. Designed for
the Windows OS, this application enables rapid conversion
of a movie file into other video formats, such as AVI, WMV,
MPEG, and RM among several others. Unique to VIDEOzilla is
its ability to convert in one click from the context menu
of the selected file. With the same one-click simplicity,
the user can extract audio from a movie file and save it as
an MP3 or WAV, as well as view a movie file in the VIDEOzilla
video player. Along with default settings, the program enables
complete configuration of conversion settings based on the
user's preferences.
The concept behind VIDEOzilla, according to Rick Ng, its
author, is to provide anyone with a pain-free ability to convert
a file to all popular video formats. "In creating VIDEOzilla,
we decided not to build a conventional user interface, which
is typical for other converters. Instead, we made conversion
an inner ability of Windows. In its total simplicity VIDEOzilla
resembles WinRAR with its ability to add a file to an archive
right from its context menu. Our experience shows this method
is especially attractive to ordinary users, home video enthusiasts.
They have no time to learn a complex video editing platform
and are reluctant to spend hundreds of dollars on video editing
options, most of which they will never use. VIDEOzilla doesn't
