How to Support MPEG II as input format

Learn how to use Videozilla Video Converter to convert MPEG-2 video format into other video formats.

 

In order to convert from a MPEG II video, additional MPEG II decoder will be required:
i) Download the latest FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder MMX at https://www.free-codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm 
ii) Unzip FFDShow and run the FFDShow setup.
iii) During the setup, check "MPEG II" and select "libmpeg2" under "Decode the following video formats with ffdshow".
iv) Complete the setup.
v) Right-click your mpeg II video and convert it with Videozilla.
vi) Select "use ffdshow (just once)" from the message prompt.


If the solutions above does not work properly, you may try the following: 
i) Check the installation folder of Videozilla eg. C:\Program Files\Videozilla or C:\Program Data\Videozilla2 if you are using Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, or 11
ii) Double click on the settings.ini
iii) Look for the entry AdvancedMPEG=0 under [MPEGSettings]. Update AdvancedMPEG=0 to AdvancedMPEG=1
iv) Save the settings.ini
v) Right-click your mpeg II video and convert it with Videozilla.
vi) Select "use ffdshow (just once)" from the message prompt.
