Turns any PC into a record studio

Press Release about Dexster Audio Editor software - Turns any PC into a record studio.

For Immediate Release

Softdiv Software Releases Dexster 2.6
Dexster turns any PC into a record studio.

Dexster 2.6 is a powerful but very affordable ($40) audio editor with extended capabilities. With this software, anyone can record, edit, mix or otherwise process audio files. While Dexster is intended for professional use in television, movie, radio and music industries, amateurs too can use this software to record a funny high-pitched  greeting or create cool sound effects.

Dexster 2.6 is capable of extracting audio tracks from video files, comes with a built-in audio CD burner and can edit multiple files simultaneously (batch processing). Naturally, Dexster 2.6 supports all common music file formats - WAV (compressed and uncompressed), MP2, MP3, VOX, Audio CD, WMA, RAW audio (PCM, A-LAW, U-LAW), MPC, AVI (audio track), Ogg Vorbis, AIFF and AU. Thus Dexster can be used as an audio converter to convert audio files from one format to another.

Editing in Dexster 2.6 is done visually, so any person with no formal training can edit audio files easily. Tabbing feature makes the entire process simple, without cluttering program's interface. The set of tools is standard for this class of applications - Cut, Copy, Delete, Paste, Mix, etc. The new version of the program supports markers, has a recording timer and offers multiple audio effects, like Amplify, Compressor, Reverb, Delay, Pitch Shift, Insert Noise, Envelope, Chorus, Reverse, Compressor and Vibrato. In addition, there are handy audio filters that can be applied - Band Pass, Fast Fourier, FFT, Peak EQ, High Pass, High Shelf, Low Pass, Low Shelf, and Notch filters.

Dexster 2.6 features a built-in audio player and support recording from any input device, not just a microphone. Conveniently, there is online tutorial available for the folks who are unfamiliar with the basics of audio file editing. And since the program is free to try, there is no risk!

Dexster 2.6 is distributed electronically over the Internet; free demo version is available at https://www.softdivshareware.com/ for evaluation.
